Top Gold Coast Attractions and Sights

The Gold Coast has numerous attractions and sights, with beaches, theme parks, and various short-trip locations nearby.

Theme Parks

The Gold Coast is close to Australia’s largest and best themes parks, which include Dreamworld, Sea World, and Movieworld. Visitors should leave at least one or two days to properly tour these parks.

Beaches

The Gold Coast has countless excellent beaches. These include famous surf locations such as Greenmount, Snapper Rocks, Duranbah, Kirra and Main Beach.

Short-Trip Locations

Both Brisbane and Byron Bay are close by and make great day-trip destinations. Visit the lighthouse, the farmer’s markets and Cape Gallery when in Byron Bay.

In Brisbane, explore Boundary Street in West End, James St in New Farm, the Queensland Art Gallery in South Bank, Mt Coot-tha for scenic sights and Paddington for shopping.

Wineries and Rainforests

Visit the wineries nearby and explore the local galleries and rainforests in the mountains close to the Gold Coast. There are four-wheel driving tours, hang-glider adventures and bushwalking trails to discover. Lamington National Park and Binna Burra have some scenic bushwalking trails.
